Budget Friendly & Mouth Watering Sit-down Feederies
So how exactly do you find that restaurant that leaves your friends saying “Oh my gosh, that was sooo good.. I can’t believe I haven’t been there” and “I can’t believe how cheap it was”? Well, you read the list of feederies below (obvious answer), but usually you stumble upon these gems by… well, LUCK! Luckily, I’ve listed out the best cheap, mouth watering, sit down feederies that the East Village has to offer… (you can thank me later by telling your friends you discovered it on this blog… )
Budget Friendly & Mouth Watering Sit-down Feederies
1. Mark’s - Juicy Sliders & Guinness Milkshakes
This place is a gem. The best sliders (for under $3) and a fun selection of milkshakes – including the Guinness milkshake and the Candied Bacon milkshake. I’ve been here multiple times and everyone raves about it. You can’t beat the burgers they are serving up, especially for the price!!! Lunch specials include: 2 sliders, fries,& soda for $8 if you’re around the area then! Great deal!!
33 St Marks Pl., New York, NY 10003 (btw 2nd & 3rd Ave)2. Numero 28 - Wood Oven Pizzas & BYOB
I recently went here with some friends from out of town — and wow, we had a great time! There was 6 of us, we ordered salads beforehand and ordered 2 18′ pizzas and it was just enough. The pizzas are long (stretched out oval?) and served on wood boards right out of the oven with a crispy crust. They have unique topping choices too. We tried the 5 Cheese and the signature Numero 28 pizza (Buffalo mozz, bacon, truffle cream, and mushrooms) and they were both delicious!!! For around $30/person with drinks and tips, we had one hell of a dinner!!! I’d go back.
FYI for BYOB Wine — Stop by Trader Joe’s at Union Square (maybe 4 blocks or so) and stocked up on wine because Trader Joe’s Wine Shop has amazing wines and great prices! It’s so cheap!
176 2nd Ave., New York, NY 10003 (btw 12th st & 11 st)3. Sigmund’s Pretzels — Pretzels & Beer Galore
Who could go wrong with pretzels and beers? And at a decent price? They’ll even give you a free pretzel with the purchase of a beer on Saturday & Sunday brunch times! That’s a deal. This pretzel place in the heart of Alphabet City is a great in between place to sit down and have something filling, but doesn’t inconvenience you with wait lines or crowds. The bartenders are very friendly and I always enjoy having a good convo with them – especially when sitting at the bar. The best pretzel on the menu is the Feta Olive! It’s absolutely amazing. The soft, plump bread, with toasted feta and hints of olives and some honey mustard —MmmhhHHHmmmHHhmmm!! Finger Lickin’ Good. Last time I had two beers and a pretzel – was stuffed and paid a total of $12!! With Tip! We all had a great time! Definitely a go to on a budget or in a hurry.
29 Avenue B, New York, NY 10009 (btw 2nd St & 3rd St)Truffle Cheese and Feta Olive Pretzels, YUM! I am in love with the Feta Olive Pretzel!
