Il Bambino is serving up some of theBest Paninis in NYC or maybe in the entire country! Sure, you might have to take the lesser traveled N train (or the E train), but these paninis are truly amazing. Did we mention the peanut butter hot chocolate? Oh yeah, they have peanut butter hot chocolate and it’s a foodie’s delight. The hardest decision of the day shouldn’t be if you should take that N train all the way to Astoria – it should be which best paninis are you going to have for lunch today! Trust us when we say that Il Bambino is trending, so get it while you still can (without a 2 hour wait).
Il Bambino – 34-08 31st Ave., Astoria, Queens NY btw 34th & 35th St.
Honestly, the menu is amazing. You can’t go wrong with any of the meats & cheeses,
crostinis, or paninis. Make sure you come with an appetite and even considering ordering an extra panini to take home for dinner (that’s what we did). Il Bambino also offers spreads and aioli – which is amazing.
There are a handful of items with truffle aioli and spicy mayo. You can never go wrong with either of those two. Some of our favorite paninis are:
- Chorizo – romesco, shaved red onion, mozzarella, truffle aioli
- Berkshire Smoked Ham – truffle aioli, dirty chips, aged cheddar
The best time to come is when they are offering their Brunch Menu. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, Il Bambino offers 16 additional paninis with twists and quirks for everyone’s taste buds. Prices range from $7-$12 and one panini is more than enough. Feeder suggests coming with a group of friends so you can order multiple paninis and all have a little taste of each! Here are some of our favorite Brunch paninis:
- Cheese Us Christo – scrambled eggs, farmhouse blue, mozzarella, aged cheddar, dirty chips, garlic butter
- Lard Have Mercy – sweet sausage, tomato pesto, scrambled eggs, devil peppers, goat cheese
- The Pork Chopper – porchetta, scrambled eggs, pickled jalapenos, Russian dressing, asiago
Il Bambino also has a lovely wine selection if you are looking for a few drinks. But if you are going the sober route, then the peanut butter hot chocolate is a must try! It’s everything you ever wanted and more!
